Arrived at Koh Tao today and it is officially the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Everywhere you look the scene just looks like a postcard. White golden sands boarding a palm tree scattered skyline and met by crystal clear blue water. I felt like i had tumbled on to the set of 'Lost' or a 'Lilt' advert. Shops are just shacks with palm tree roofs. We were each given a key to our own accomodationwhich was a basic room with an ensuite. Huge double bed, no air con but a power ranger of a fan. There were many cockroaches and ants but nothing was going to phase me today. I just felt so lucky. At night we went to the 'Flower' restaurant where it was a no shoe sit down affair and all sixteen of us crammed around the table. Almost cried with laughter as Kelly had great trouble ordering her food...(it went along the lines of this)...
K: What Comes with the sandwich?
Waitress: Without?
K:No, Sorry, what do you get with food? Tomatos, onions....?
Waitress: Everything
K: Whats Everything?
Waitress: Without?
K:No (starting to crack up now) what's in it?
Waitress: Everything... (pauses)...without?
K: OK Sorry It doesn't matter, I'm retarded, stupid american.
I actually almost wet myself. Also ate the best pancake (that was what it was called) from a stall..they were amazing. I mean..there was a party in my mouth and everyone was invited for sure.
