V Festival 31st March

I Love V festival. What a great line up and a great day. We arrived with the sun shining and everybody in great moods. We got our drinking wristbands that had 'alcohol is overrated' written on them and had a look around the site. There were 3 stages; this stage, that stage and the other stage...yeah..thats not gonna get confusing after a few drinks. Loads of bars, stalls and party tents lined the perimeter of the field. We were all 'stoked'. The first band we went to see were called phoenix and were pretty close to the front. Had some very weird girls in front of us wearing very special outfits: high waisted shorts that went up to their armpits and backcombed hair. They seemed to be more bothered about how they looked and what dance moves they were doing than seeing the band. I found it very funny when a text message arrived on the big screen saying 'those shorts are so wrong. since when did music festivals become a fashion show?!'
After Phoenix we went to the oxygen tent. This is where you get a wire put up your nostrils and they pump pure oxygen with different scents through it. Me and Hol tried it out and instantly felt recharged and energised. We then saw Nouvelle Vague who were so strange but fantastic. The two lead singers were french girls who spent most of their set curled up in balls on stage, crawling around and pulling their hair over their eyes. The best acts by far were Gnarles Barkely and Groove Armada who played a remix of Sister Nancy 'Bam Bam'. On hearing this I automaticallt thought of Keely and Craigy and felt a bit homesick...not for long though as a very good looking ozzie called Tony decided to talk to me and give me his number..NICE ONE PLEASE.
